Port Management for Remote Access

Bsoft App Remote Access can operate on a local network without any changes to a company’s internet firewall. However, for remote access from outside the organization, there are some common networking configurations that must be observed. 

By default, web and Bsoft App traffic move in and out of a network on ports 80, 443 and 3389. For external access it is necessary to create rules in your router/firewall to allow traffic on those ports to enter the network and be directed to the proper server via internal (private) IP address. NOTE: It is important that your Remote Access server has a static private IP address. 

While Bsoft App does not directly support networking devices, we would like to offer some helpful tips and links for common SOHO network routers.
